STUDENT VISA

We're here to guide you through the whole process

Once you have been accepted to Bravo Flight Training, we will issue you a Form I-20, a document certifying your enrollment in our program. You will need this form to apply for your student visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country.

International flight training students typically qualify for an M-1 visa (vocational student). We'll help clarify which visa type applies to your situation when we issue your I-20.

You can submit your visa application through the Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (DS-160).

Visa Interview & SEVIS Fee
After submitting your visa application, you will be scheduled for an interview at your nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. Before attending your interview, you must pay the SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System) fee.

SEVIS Fee: The fee for M-1 visa applicants is $350.

Payment must be made before your visa interview. Keep your receipt — you will need it as part of your documentation.

TSA Flight Training Security Program (FTSP)

All non-U.S. citizens are required to complete the TSA Flight Training Security Program (FTSP) process before beginning flight training. This is a federal requirement and applies regardless of visa status. The FTSP was formerly known as the Alien Flight Student Program (AFSP).

HOW TO COMPLETE THE FTSP

1.

VISIT THE OFFICIAL FTSP WEBSITE

at fts.tsa.dhs.gov or contact the TSA directly at FTSP.Help@tsa.dhs.gov.

2.

REGISTER AS A CANDIDATE

and follow the steps provided by the TSA.

3.

FOLLOW THE STEPS

Complete all required steps in the FTSP process.

4.

FINGER PRINTS

Choose a center from the FTSP Website and get your finger prints taken

5.

RECEIVE YOUR ELIGIBILITY NOTICE

After the process is completed and you have been approved, you will receive an eligibility notice

6.

PROOF OF COMPLETION

Provide Bravo with proof of FTSP completion before your first flight.

Important: Flight training cannot begin until we have received and confirmed your proof of FTSP completion. We recommend starting this process as early as possible.
